While in a Virginia correctional facility, Allen finished his high school equivalency (GED). He led the NBA four times in field goal attempts, twice in minutes, free throws, turnovers and steals and once in free throw attempts and total points. Allen was an 10-time NBA All-Star, winning the All-Star Game MVP Award twice (2001, 2005), and he was named to the All –NBA First Team three times. Iverson won four NBA scoring titles while with the Sixers, led the NBA In steal three times and was the 2001 NBA Most Valuable Player.
